The Elixir of Youth!

Apple cider Vinegar, Your Health Ally!

Apple cider vinegar is produced in wooden barrels, from fermented organic apples. Known once upon a time as a “youth elixir,” it has been prized over the centuries for its numerous health benefits.

Throughout history, a wealth of references are found regarding the use of apple cider vinegar not only as a preservative or condiment, but also as a cure for various symptoms.

  • Treats acid reflux
  • Helps glycemic control
  • Provides antioxidants thanks to its polyphenol content
  • Promotes weight loss
  • Kills some bacteria

Apple cider vinegar contains vitamin B1, B2, B6 and C, folic acid, biotin and niacin, as well as minerals such as iron, calcium, sodium, magnesium, potassium and phosphorus.

Useful Knowledge: The “Mother”

Vinegar contains natural sediments that build into a film called mother of vinegar. This compound is known for its health benefits as it includes “good” bacteria, enzymes, pectin, proteins and minerals. If sediments accumulate at the bottom of the bottle, that is a good sign! (We recommend simply shaking the bottle before using the vinegar.) If the vinegar is clear, it means it has been pasteurized. Since it no longer contains the mother, pasteurized vinegar loses many of its nutritional properties.

Flavoured Cider Vinegars

In addition to the original apple cider vinegar, discover these three unique flavours:

  • Honey and ginger: This combination features natural anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties, and can also help lose weight and fight insomnia.

  • Lemon and cayenne: In addition to being a good source of vitamin C, this pairing has antiseptic, antibiotic, antiviral and detoxifying properties.

  • Garcinia Cambogia: This fruit grown in tropical Asia, Africa and Polynesia is used in alternative medicine to enhance satiation (fullness), to prevent the synthesis and storage of body fat, and to fight rheumatism and gastrointestinal complaints.
