Tarte tatin with a twist


  • 160 g sugar
  • 10 apples
  • 1 sheet flaky pastry
  • 2 tbsp Dona Chai Masala concentrate
  • Vanilla ice cream (optional)


1.    Preheat the oven to 180°C.

2.    Peel, core and quarter the apples.

3.    Combine the sugar and the 2 tbsp Dona Chai Masala concentrate in a pan over medium heat and cook until caramelized.

4.    Pour this caramel in a pie dish, top with the apple quarters and cover with dough.

5.    Bake in the oven 35 minutes.

6.    Serve warm. Add a scoop of vanilla ice cream just before serving (optional).
