Pasta con polpette

Ingredients needed

Serves 4-5 people

  • 1 jar Favuzzi tomato sauce
  • 1 package Favuzzi spaghetti
  • 350-400 g ground beef (or half beef, half pork)
  • 2 eggs
  • 3-4 tbsp grated parmigiano
  • 3 spoonfuls breadcrumbs
  • Very finely chopped parsley (optional)
  • Favuzzi extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • A few fresh basil leaves
  • Salt and pepper

Steps of preparation

  1. In a non-stick saucepan, sauté the garlic in olive oil, then add the tomato sauce.
  2. Fill one quarter of the empty bottle with water and add to the sauce.
  3. Season with salt and pepper, add the basil, cover and leave to simmer gently until the sauce thickens.
  4. In a bowl, combine the ground meat, eggs, grated cheese, salt and pepper, chopped parsley and breadcrumbs.
  5. Lightly wet your hands and shape the mixture into small meatballs. Add them to the sauce.
  6. Cook the pasta in salted boiling water according to package instructions. Drain and serve topped with tomato sauce and meatballs.
