Orange Chicken Thighs

  • 4-6 chicken thighs
  • Favuzzi sea salt with fresh herbs
  • 4-5 tbsp Favuzzi orange olive oil
  • The juice of 1 orange + a few orange slices, about 4-5 mm thick
  • Half a head of garlic
  • Favuzzi moderate olive oil

Steps of preparation

  1. Season the chicken thighs generously with the herbal sea salt and place them in a baking dish.
  2. Add the orange oil and orange juice and mix well to coat the chicken with marinade.
  3. Cover with plastic wrap and leave to rest in the fridge for at least 2 hours.*
  4. Preheat the oven to 360°F (176°C).
  5. Add the half head of garlic and a few orange slices in the baking dish, drizzle the chicken with moderate oil (3-4 tbsp) and cook for about 40 minutes, turning the thighs over after 20 minutes.
  6. When the chicken thighs are fully cooked, serve immediately.
     

*Ideally, prepare the chicken thighs in the morning and keep them refrigerated until it is time to cook them for dinner.
