Ingredients needed
- 400 g of ground beef
- The crumb of 2 slices of bread
- 60 ml (1/4 cup) milk
- 60 ml (1/4 cup) of grated Parmesan
- 1 egg
- Favuzzi olive oil
- 2 garlic cloves, cut into slices
- 1 480 ml bottle of Favuzzi basil tomato sauce
- A few fresh basil leaves
- Grated Parmesan, to garish

Steps of preparation
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a bowl, soak the bread crumb in milk for a few minutes.
- In another bowl, combine the ground beef, soaked bread (squeezed to remove excess milk), grated Parmesan, and the egg.
- Season with salt and pepper, then mix until well combined.
- Form about 12 meatballs and place them on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes, until lightly browned.
- Meanwhile, in a pan over low heat, add a drizzle of olive oil.
- Add the garlic and cook for 2 minutes.
- Stir in the tomato sauce and basil leaves.
- Cover and let simmer for 10 minutes.
- Add the cooked meatballs to the sauce and simmer for another 10–15 minutes.
- Serve hot, topped with grated Parmesan and fresh basil leaves.
