Rustic Coffee Biscuits (without eggs)

Ingredients needed

  • 2 ½ cups Favuzzi ''00'' Flour
  • ½ cup sugar + quantity for sprinkling
  • 1 ½ tsp baking powder
  • 100 mL Favuzzi Classico coffee
  • 140 mL vegetable oil
  • 1 pinch of Favuzzi fleur de sel

Steps of preparation

  1. Place flour, sugar, Favuzzi fleur de sel and baking powder in a bowl.
  2. Mix well, then add the oil and coffee.
  3. Stir with a spoon until the liquid is well absorbed.
  4. Shape a ball of dough by hand (add an extra pinch of flour if necessary).
  5. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and let stand for 15 minutes.
  6. Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  7. Take pieces of dough the size of a small apricot to shape sticks; roll the sticks into the shape of donuts, and place them as you go on the baking sheet.
  8. Sprinkle the biscuits with sugar and put them in the oven.
  9. Bake for about 18 minutes or until lightly browned.
  10. Remove from the oven and let cool at least 10 minutes.
