Fettuccine with tomato basil sauce

Ingredients needed

  • ½ package of Favuzzi Fettuccine (250 g) 
  • 1 jar Favuzzi Tomato Basil sauce 
  • ½ cup water (more or less, depending on how you like the thickness of your sauce)
  • 3-4 tbsp Favuzzi Delicate Extra Virgin Olive Oil 
  • Cheese, optional, to top pasta
  • Fresh parsley, optional, to top pasta
  • Favuzzi sun-dried tomato paste, to optionally top your pasta

Steps of preparation

  1. Bring a pot of water to a boil and cook Favuzzi Fettuccine for 8 minutes, as directed on the package. 
  2. In another pot, add an entire jar of Favuzzi Tomato Basil sauce.
  3. Pour some water into the jar, about ⅓ to ½ cup of water to get all the excess sauce from the jar (This will also help thin out the sauce slightly).
  4. Pour the water into your sauce pot. 
  5. Drizzle Favuzzi Delicate Extra Virgin Olive Oil into your sauce and simmer on low, just to heat up the sauce for about 5-10 minutes. 
  6. Once fettuccine has cooked, drain and add to a large bowl. 
  7. Top with tomato sauce and mix until pasta is coated in sauce. 
  8. Divide pasta into two plates, top with cheese, fresh parsley, etc and enjoy!
