Tuscan White Beans

Ingredients needed

  • 2 tbsp Favuzzi olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cans (540 ml each) white beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 jar (480 ml) Favuzzi tomato sauce – Basil & Pecorino
  • ½ cup (125 ml) water (or broth of your choice)
  • 2 tsp Favuzzi Tuscan seasoning

To serve

  • Toasted bread
  • Grated Parmesan
  • Fresh parsley or basil
  • A drizzle of olive oil

Steps of preparation

  1. Heat the olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Add the garlic and cook for 1 to 2 minutes.
  3. Add the white beans, tomato sauce, water (or broth), and seasoning.
  4. Stir gently.
  5. Let simmer over low heat for 12 to 15 minutes, until the sauce thickens and coats the beans well.
  6. Serve hot with a drizzle of olive oil, Parmesan, and toasted bread for dipping.
